Gwadar, Pakistan – Seven laborer were killed and one other injured in an attack by unknown gun men in Baluchistan province of Pakistan. Local media reported on Thursday amide militance rising in the country.
Pakistani media reported assailants stormed a residential quarter near fish harbor of Gwadar and fired indiscriminately at the sleeping occupants.
Provincial Officials swiftly responded and surrounded the area.
The bodies were transferred to morgue for autopsy and injures were given medical attention in Gwadar’s Hospital.
Baluchistan interior minister, Mohsin Naqva denounce “heinous act” and extended condolences to bereaved families.
Mirza Lungau, another minister of interior denounced the attack as cowardly and ordered outright investigation.
Langau highlighted that provincial government’s commitment to pursuing perpetrators and ensuring justice for the victim.
