One week after flash flood; Murgab district awaits relief shipments

Flood victims in Murghab district of Ghor province say that after one week from flood devastation, they have not yet received aid shipments.

According to resident victims, they have lost homes and possessions and don’t have food for eating.

“We all will perish, have no way, no food, water and shelter. If we don’t receive aims, we will perish” a resident of Murgab district said.

Abdul Jalil, another resident of the district said: “we are perishing from lack of food, we don’t have asylum and nothing to eat.

Authorities in the district say after flash flood, diseases such as pneumonia and diarrhea have been spread due to lack of healthy water.

Mohammad Tahir, head of the district clinic say: “respiratory diseases have been raised flowing the floods in Murghab district.
