Joint operation commences for eradication poppy cultivation in Badakhshan: Taliban say

Taliban said on Friday that a joint operation for eradicating poppy cultivation has commenced in Darayim and Argo districts, northeastern of Badakhshan province. Where two local residences were killed during protests a week ago.

Quoted by Taliban-run Bakhtar News Agency, Noorullah Omar, the Taliban Spokesperson of 219^th Omar corps said the operation is conducted by triple brigade of corps with the local cooperation and it will continue.

This coincides with unsolved challenges between the Taliban and citizens in Darayim and Argo districts, located in Badakhshan province.
